The Oroshon Challenge-- A Ridiculous Way We Bonded

This weekend, I went to Oroshon with my cousins, and my cousin decided to take the Oroshon Special #2 Challange-- to eat the entire bowl of Oroshon's spiciest ramen in less than 30 minutes, soup and all--and by george he did it!

Here's a recap of it:

7:59 PM: It's been two minutes and he thinks it's just spicy and manageable.

8:11 PM: Halfway through the noodles he is dying-- a complete contrast to the previous clip.

8:21 PM: Noodles are all gone, and now to the soup!  Can't back down now!

8:28 PM:  The last stretch-- to finish that last bit of soup left in the bowl to show the "white" bottom of the bowl is going be to a challenge!

We made fun of him all the while cheering him on the whole way, and it was fantastic. We were pretty proud of him for being "the man" and finishing the entire bowl of ramen because it was one spicy piece of work!  I would never do it myself, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone!  But if anyone wanted to do it, you may want to use this video as a preview of what you will be going through!

Spending time with my cousins being absolutely ridiculous was just too much... fun.  I'm thankful for my family and the bond that will tie us together for the rest of our lives, through the good and the bad.  Our parents weren't kidding when they told us the Korean saying "you can't deceive blood."  It's true.  No matter where we've been, where we go, and what we go through, I will always have my family to back me up and lean back on.  Thank goodness for family!
