Today I received tulips "just because." There really wasn't a reason for why I should have received the flowers, but I did... "just because." It made it all the more moving and all the more wonderful.I think what makes "just because" gifts special lies in the fact that there was no other reason but that the person getting it for you saw that gift and just thought of you and was moved to get it. In a world where everything is calculated and there is a motive behind everything, it's nice to just be thought of and appreciated. You being remembered and appreciated just for being plain old you.
